Ambient Vaporizer is made of extruded aluminum-finned profile tubes that interconnect with each other to vaporize the extremely cold liquids of around or below - 150℃ into its gaseous state for the users such as LO2, LN2 ,LAR & LNG. The gas is nearly warmed up to a temperature similar to the ambient air by absorbing heat from the surrounding environment.
How does the Ambient Vaporizer Function ?
The ambient vaporizer functions by utilizing the heat energy present in the surrounding ambient air to vaporize a liquid or liquefied gas. It consists of a heat exchange system with finned tubes or plates that increase the surface area for heat transfer. The liquid or liquefied gas is circulated through the vaporization chamber, where it comes into contact with the heat exchange system.
The ambient air flowing over the heat exchange surfaces transfers its heat energy to the vaporization chamber, causing the liquid or liquefied gas to heat up and vaporize. The resulting vapor or gas is then collected and directed to the desired application or storage system. Ambient vaporizers offer a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution for vaporizing liquids or liquefied gases without the need for additional external heat sources.

- The Liquid Oxygen Ambient Vaporizer is used to convert liquified oxygen, whose boiling temperature is -182.96 °C, back to its gaseous state. - The Fluid: It is essential to have a thorough understanding of the physical and chemical properties of the liquid being vaporized by your vaporizer. For instance, you need to determine if the temperature of the liquid is lower than the vaporizer's design temperature, as this could potentially cause material quenching and result in equipment fracture. Furthermore, it is important to assess whether the liquid exhibits corrosive properties that could corrode the vaporizer's pipes, making it unsuitable for use. Moreover, it is crucial to identify if certain liquids cannot be vaporized beyond a specific pressure, such as carbon dioxide.
- Vaporization Capacity: Vaporization capacity is a crucial factor that must be carefully considered when selecting a vaporizer. It not only relates to the ambient vaporizer design but also impacts ambient vaporizer sizing customization to fit the production requirements and the available area on-stie. Moreover, incorrect vaporization capacity can lead to two scenarios. Firstly, when the vaporization capacity of the vaporizer exceeds the actual vaporization requirement of production, it can result in whistling noises and even resonate with the vibrations from the operation of cryogenic reciprocating pumps, thereby affecting the equipment's lifespan and causing noise pollution. Secondly, if the vaporization capacity is lower than the actual vaporization requirement, it can lead to premature frosting of the equipment, reducing vaporization efficiency and shortening its normal operating time. Additionally, the vaporized gas may not achieve the desired temperature, posing a safety threat to downstream equipment due to excessively low gas temperatures.
