The LNG submered pump is a branch version of a cryogenic centrifugal pump specifically designed for natural gas transfer. It is called a submerged pump because liquid natural gas is an excellent electrical insulator, and the pump's motor is completely isolated from the oxygen, eliminating the risk of fire or explosion. Therefore, the pump and motor are mounted on the same shaft and operate fully submerged in liquefied natural gas.
