The reason and treatment of centrifugal pump vibration and loud noise are caused by pump cavitation and mechanical failure.
1. Main reasons
(1) Failure to empty or empty the air inside the pump before starting it
(2) Impeller, inlet pipeline and filter screen are blocked, water supply is not smooth, and water supply is insufficient
(3) The connection part or sealing ring at the inlet end of the pump is not tightly sealed, and there is air leakage
(4) The bearing shell is severely worn and the clearance is too large
(5) The displacement control of the pump is too large or too small, causing cavitation and pump failure
(6) Vibration caused by impeller damage or rotor imbalance
(7) The pump shaft is bent or not concentric, causing friction between the rotor and stator
(8) The balance disk is severely worn and has failed, resulting in excessive axial thrust
(9) The foundation foot screws are not firmly fixed, or the design and installation are not qualified
(10) Irregular coupling or loose connecting screws, as well as severe damage to the shock-absorbing rubber ring, can cause imbalance and lack of shock absorption
(11) Pump vibration caused by motor vibration
(12) The support of the import and export pipelines is not firmly fixed, causing vibration due to the suspension of the pipelines
(13) Loose or misaligned pump bearing bracket
2. Handling method
(1) Firstly, adjust the opening degree of the pump outlet valve and control the working point of the pump reasonably. If it still cannot be eliminated, the pump must be stopped for inspection and treatment
(2) Open the vent valve at the pump outlet, exhaust the air inside the pump, and restart the pump
(3) Check and eliminate blockages in the impeller, inlet pipeline, and pre pump filter
(4) Repair or replace the bearing shell, and adjust its clearance to meet technical requirements
(5) Straighten the pump shaft or machine pump and find the same center again
(6) Check or replace the balance mechanism
(7) Technical requirements for readjusting the pump bearing pad and measuring channel
(8) Check and tighten the connecting bolts, replace the coupling or shock-absorbing rubber ring
