SK Airplus to Sell Industrial Gas Assets
SK Airplus, a subsidiary of SK ecoplant, has decided to sell or liquidate some of its industrial gas production facilities and its material CO₂ division to raise capital. According to Korean media reports on the 29th, SK Airplus plans to sell or liquidate its industrial gas supply production facility at the SK Hynix M15 plant in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea, as well as its Renewtec division. Reports suggest that if sold, the price could be around KRW 1.3 trillion.

SK Airplus is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SK ecoplant. Previously, in 2022, it sold its industrial gas supply facility for the SK Hynix M16 plant in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, to Brookfield for KRW 1 trillion. In 2021, it sold the gas supply facility for the M14 plant, also in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, to Macquarie Asset Management.
SK Airplus's parent company, SK ecoplant, is also seeking to sell its water treatment and waste treatment subsidiary, Renewus, along with its landfill subsidiary, Renewone, as a packaged deal. Although KKR and STIC Investments participated in the bidding, KKR is reportedly the only bidder to have submitted a reasonable offer.
