When we talk about Small Scale LNG Regasification Plants, "small scale" is actually a relative term, not an absolute limitation. Compared to the much larger gasification units found at LNG receiving terminals, these plants are indeed smaller. However, their specific regasification capacity ultimately depends on the local demand. Generally speaking, in China, a natural gas regasification plant with a capacity of around 2,000 Nm³/hr is considered very small. Such a plant might be equipped with two 2,000 Nm³/hr ambient air vaporizers, operating on a one-duty, one-standby basis, switching every 8 hours.
