Cryogenic Stop Valve

Introduction
Low temperature globe valve refers to the valve whose closing parts (disc) move along the center line of the seat. According to this form of movement of the valve disc, the change of the valve seat orifice is proportional to the valve disc stroke. Because the stem opening or closing stroke of this type of valve is relatively short, and has a very reliable cutting function, and because the change of the valve seat through the valve and the stroke of the disc is directly proportional to the relationship, very suitable for flow regulation. Therefore, this type of valve is well suited for cutting or regulating and throttling use.

Working Principle
The stem axis of low temperature globe valve is perpendicular to the sealing surface of valve seat. The relatively short opening or closing travel of the stem and the very reliable cut-off action make this valve ideal for use as a medium for cutting or regulating and throttling.

Once the low-temperature globe valve is in the open state, there is no longer contact between its seat and disc sealing surface, so its sealing surface mechanical wear is small, because most of the globe valve seat and disc is easier to repair or replace the sealing element without removing the whole valve from the pipeline, which is very suitable for the valve and pipeline welded into one. The flow direction of the medium through this kind of valve changes, so the flow resistance of the globe valve is higher than that of other valves.

Advantage

Shortcomings
a. Large fluid resistance, open and close the required force.
b. It is not suitable for medium with particles, high viscosity and easy coking.
c. Poor adjustment performance
